Lessons for America from Chairman Mao’s Cultural Revolution
Mike Zhao has firsthand experience with the horrors of communism in Mao’s Cultural Revolution. He recognizes that history is now repeating itself as the American Progressives and the Global Elite use Critical Race Theory, censorship, cancel culture, and racial division to destroy America.
Because our lives are short, we tend to see history as a linear progression of events, beginning with our own personal experiences that we project into the future. Historians and students of history, however, understand that history is cyclical. The linear progression we see for ourselves is only a small section of greater repetitive cycles that last for generations.
As a student in China, Mike and his fellow students learned two lessons in school: Long Live Chairman Mao and Long Live the Communist Party. Driven to achieve personal goals, however, Mike was able to emigrate to America as a university student, became an American citizen, and thrive in our capitalist free market system.
Mike Zhao was born in China during the dictatorship of Chairman Mao Zedong. As part of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, Mike’s family endured political persecution, extreme poverty, starvation, and devasting personal loss. Because his grandparents had been landowners, the communist government confiscated their land. The entire family was forced to relocate to a rural mountain village without electricity and running water. When Mike’s grandmother suffered a heart attack, she died, because medical care was unavailable. Mike’s father was arrested, imprisoned and tortured, leaving only Mike’s mother to provide for the family.
Most students in government schools in the United States are never taught true American and World History, creative writing, math, science, and too many lack the ability to assess facts and reach logical conclusions. This deliberate system failure has produced several generations of young Americans with no understanding or knowledge of the disastrous failures of Fascism, Socialism, and Communism. They are ignorant of the human tragedy imposed by totalitarian dictatorships on their unwilling captive subjects.
Because those lessons are missing from the curriculum in government schools today, students do not acknowledge the important constitutional principles that protect our Natural Law Rights and how those rights guarantee their own freedoms. The history students are taught is modified and censored to comply with a political agenda. Because the foundation of the younger generations’ knowledge is propaganda not truth, they are easily captivated by the collectivist agenda of the global elite.
This is not a new tactic. Every dictator comes to power with the help of misguided believers who don’t realize that they will also be victims of oppression once the totalitarian regime takes control. Many of America’s youth today blindly support the United Nation’s one world governance agenda which includes significantly reducing planetary population by billions of persons. How sad it will be when they find out they are not included on the elite’s list of survivors.
The people of America have been purposefully pitted against each other along racial, financial, and political lines, a division that will, likely, never heal. These differences are part of the natural human condition. In any population, people have different abilities, aptitudes, skin colors, sizes, strengths, etc. Our founders, recognizing this, gave us a system of government that created equal opportunity based on individual effort and responsibility. Success is based on merit not on the divisive system of equity that deliberately creates a state of hostility and animosity.
History is our greatest teacher. If you know history, you can predict the future well enough to understand potential trends and prepare for the consequences. Cycles of history are the saga of victories and defeats that characterize humanity’s constant and recurrent battle between good and evil. History, however, teaches us the valuable lesson that not everyone disregards the past. Evil never sleeps.

EXCELLENT article, on point & accurate. there is only one correction i believe should be made: “and thrive in our *POST* capitalist free market system.” — because ever since at least 1913, the STATE has violated and/or usurped pretty much every aspect of the capitalist free market system. from my perspective, the only “free market” we have left in Neo-Amerika is the black market.
