One of the most important lessons parents can teach their children is the natural consequences of their actions. If you do “A,” the most likely result is “B.” Children armed with this knowledge are more likely to make life decisions that lead to successful and positive outcomes. In addition, with maturity should come the understanding that not every choice leads to success and that one must be willing to accept the responsibility for failure as well as victory.
How incredible it would be if nations could learn these same lessons. Imagine the progress mankind could achieve if we stopped using the same erroneous facts, flawed logic, and an ignorance and denial of historical truth to expect different results from similar actions.
In past centuries, history was written by the victors who routinely eradicated any evidence of the accomplishments and culture of the vanquished. Although the twentieth century was dubbed the “information age” by many and in spite of the First Amendment, facts, figures, and “news” available to the general public from limited sources was still modified by the media to fit an approved agenda.
Unfortunately, while the same travesty occurs today, there is one notable exception to this old rule. A proliferation of personal digital devices makes every person a “news anchor” and every cell phone a television broadcast station. In spite of vigorous attempts by those in power to limit access to the truth and to manipulate the uninformed mind, unedited real-time video from a non-professional observer and a trail of emails have the power to undo the agenda-driven lies of governments and villains. Remember the impact on our collective consciousness created by the Zapruder film of Kennedy’s assassination? It was an unimpeachable eyewitness account . . . “Seeing” truly is “believing.”
In spite of the exponential growth of information available to virtually every digitally-connected person, however, most human beings are either unwilling or incapable of using historical facts to reach the logical conclusions that would allow us to avoid repetitive catastrophic civilization failures.
In the past one hundred years, in spite of living in the era of cultural enlightenment, human beings have experienced continuous cycles of intolerance, hatred, and evil. We congratulate ourselves for achieving a higher plane of human endeavor while ignoring the actions of tyrants with a greed for wealth and a lust for power who continue to oppress individual freedom with impunity.
What defect in our human DNA allows us to freely support an autocrat’s rise to power when it is obvious by his history, his statements, his philosophy, and his actions that his intentions are to enslave all of us, including many of his advocates? What turns off our instinct for self-preservation in the face of the obvious lies and deceptions that should trigger the “fight or flight” reflex embedded in our brainstem? Why do we continue to throw rose petals in the path of those who plan to persecute us while our minds are screaming, “Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!”? Like Lenin’s and Stalin’s “useful idiots” who were physically terminated when they were no longer useful, we cannot resist the urge to ride the tyrant’s coattails to power with the false hope of being admitted to the inner circle.
A national breakdown of morality allowed Adolf Hitler and his Nazi followers to turn Germany, the icon of European culture, into a prime example of genocide, butchery, and tyranny. The seeds of collapse, however, were not planted by Hitler and the Brown Shirts. They took advantage of long-standing anti-Semitism in Europe and Russia, Aryan pride, and the replacement of Christian theology by amoral Secularism that had been growing stronger for generations. Germany’s Lutheran Church, co-opted by the Nazi regime, became the Nazified “Reich Church,” an arm of the government. Former church leaders, conservatives Niemoeller, Bonhoeffer, and Barth lost their lives trying to restore the church to its basic moral origins.
If the Church had resisted, stood for morality, would it have been possible for the Holocaust to have occurred? Would the German “everyman” have been able to participate willingly or turn a blind eye to the atrocities being committed by his government in the name of the new secular morality? There are no answers, just speculations.
Only by understanding history and learning its lessons can we hope to escape the repetitive cycle of unrealized hopes, societal failures, and collective remorse.
Examine world history and you will discover a common thread – an arrogant elite class, the puppet masters who control the events that shape history. Many are members of ruling families – kings, queens, archdukes, and tsars. Others are holders of unimaginable wealth, owners of vast estates and multi-national corporations. Some are the nouveau riche, while others descend from generations of family wealth and power. Through economic and political influence, insulated from the fate they impose on mere mortals, they decide the future of nations in ways guaranteed to benefit their own fortune and power.
The following are excerpts from “American Supporters of the European Fascists” an article from the archives of the ADL:
A number of prominent and wealthy American businessmen helped to support fascist regimes in Europe from the 1920s through the 1940s. These people helped to support Francisco Franco during the Spanish Civil War of 1936, as well as Benito Mussolini, and Adolph Hitler. Some of the primary and more famous Americans and companies that were involved with the fascist regimes of Europe are: William Randolph Hearst, Joseph Kennedy (JFK’s father), Charles Lindbergh, John Rockefeller, Andrew Mellon (head of Alcoa, banker, and Secretary of Treasury), DuPont, General Motors, Standard Oil (now Exxon), Ford, ITT, Allen Dulles (later head of the CIA), Prescott Bush, National City Bank, and General Electric.
William Randolph Hearst is known as one of the largest media moguls of all time. During the 1930s he worked with the Nazi party to help promote a positive image of the Nazi party in American media. He also received loans from Italian fascists bankers during this time. The actions of Hearst were an important element in shaping American sentiment about not getting involved in the political situation in Europe as many Americans were led to believe that there was nothing terribly wrong going on in Europe, and even after the war started some Americans continued to support the Nazi regime based on the propaganda that they had been exposed to through Hearst media sources.
Perhaps one of the most egregious contributors to the Nazi cause was IBM under the direction of Thomas J. Watson. IBM knowingly helped to setup Nazi census databases through the use of data sorting machines that enabled the Nazis to carry out the Holocaust in a way that they would not have otherwise been able to. Point blank, IBM increased the size and scope of the Holocaust, and did it for profit. Not only this, but IBM leased the machines, which they had developed especially for the Nazis, to the regime with the intention of taking them back, “once they were finished with them.” Thomas Watson was awarded a medal by Adolph Hitler for his role in assisting in the Nazi regime, and Watson expressed,” . . . the necessity of extending a sympathetic understanding to the German people, and their leader Adolph Hitler.” He also expressed “. . . the highest esteem for Hitler, his country, and his people.“
Henry Ford was an avowed anti-Semite, and significant contributor to the Nazi movement in Germany. In 1920 Ford stated: “The international financiers are behind all war. They are what is called the International Jew — German Jews, French Jews, English Jews, American Jews. I believe that in all these countries except our own the Jewish financier is supreme . . . Here, the Jew is a threat.”
In the 1920s he published The International Jew. Hitler himself ordered many copies of this book and was said to keep a copy on his desk. It is easy to see why when reading the book, because the attack on the Jews is vehement.
The following is excerpted from a report printed by the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary in 1974:
The activities of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler prior to and during World War II . . . are instructive. At that time, these three firms dominated motor vehicle production in both the United States and Germany. Due to its mass production capabilities, automobile manufacturing is one of the most crucial industries with respect to national defense. As a result, these firms retained the economic and political power to affect the shape of governmental relations both within and between these nations in a manner which maximized corporate global profits. In short, they were private governments unaccountable to the citizens of any country yet possessing tremendous influence over the course of war and peace in the world. The substantial contribution of these firms to the American war effort in terms of tanks, aircraft components, and other military equipment is widely acknowledged. Less well known are the simultaneous contributions of their foreign subsidiaries to the Axis Powers. In sum, they maximized profits by supplying both sides with the material needed to conduct the war.
Ford was also active in Nazi Germany’s prewar preparations. In 1938, for instance, it opened a truck assembly plant in Berlin whose “real purpose,” according to U.S. Army Intelligence, was producing “troop transport-type” vehicles for the Wehrmacht. That year Ford’s chief executive received the Nazi German Eagle (first class) . . .
After the cessation of hostilities, GM and Ford demanded reparations from the U.S. Government for wartime damages sustained by their Axis facilities as a result of Allied bombing… Ford received a little less than $1 million, primarily as a result of damages sustained by its military truck complex at Cologne.
It is not difficult to see the similarities between European history of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and events in our own nation today. Even the scapegoat remains the same as evidenced by a rise in anti-Semitism both here and abroad. The puppeteers haven’t changed except that a younger generation of the same families and corporations has taken over.
The tools are different – climate change, the green agenda, renewable energy, gun control, the United Nations, one world government, and Agenda 21, to name a few. The objectives, however, are the same – elimination of private property rights, indoctrination of our children, control of medical care and food supply, displacement of the free market with crony capitalism, reduction of human population, and the replacement of God and religious morality with an amoral faith in a secular government.
Unless we all become involved in teaching historical truth and logical thought to our children and in raising public awareness of the consequences of inaction, the elite will continue to reap enormous profits and retain power, while we are stripped of our Natural Law rights and our individual freedom.

When Ortrud Crist, PhD, noted author and minister, arrived in America following World War II at the age of 18, she left behind a war-torn Germany where her family lived in the English occupied northern region. Her parents resisted Hitler’s efforts by hiding Jews in the 1930s and smuggling food to feed the hungry. Through their relentless bombing of cities, the Allied Forces brought Hitler’s horrendous and disastrous regime to an end. Dr. Crist has followed her parent’s and grandparent’s example by standing up for her convictions, getting involved, and making a difference. By sharing her family experiences, Dr. Crist hopes to encourage Americans to preserve a free country for future generations. You can learn more about Dr. Crist by visiting her website, Love Tree Ministries, and reading her book, The Verdict? GOD Is Not Dead!: His Word, The Bible, Is Relevant Forever!, available on Amazon.
