America is not a “melting pot.” It never has been a melting pot. America is its own very separate and very distinct culture with a long list of rules, principles, and ideals. If foreigners want to come here, they have to play by our rules, learn our language, assimilate into our culture, and respect our heritage or they can go back to whatever garbage country they are running away from. It’s that simple.
This statement, specifically the reference to the “melting pot”, is absolutely incorrect.
Immigrants from Europe to America at the beginning of the Twentieth Century came here with a strong work ethic, seeking a better life and freedom from oppression. To become American citizens, these immigrants got jobs, went to night school to learn English, and passed written tests about American laws and culture. There was no welfare or government assistance to support them.
The term “melting pot” refers to the fact that the individual “flavors” from their former countries blended inside the melting pot into a delicious “stew” whose taste and aroma became part of the American culture. It was impossible to recognize any of the individual ingredients, but the structure of the melting pot itself, the American culture and heritage, remained solid, unchanged, and even more interesting and secure.
The politicians of the fascist “UniParty” of today, turned the melting pot into a salad bowl to allow them to steal from one group to buy the votes of another. It is a tactic that purposefully created a state of anger and division that has destroyed our national unity and has allowed them to seize control of the machinery of government. Saul Alinsky, Stalin, and Mao taught them well.
My grandparents were part of that immigration wave around 1900. They came with nothing but a few meager belongings, seeking a better future for themselves and their children. One grandfather who came here at age 8, worked in a factory to earn enough money to go to dental school. The other three married and raised children, all of whom became educated and financially successful. They all loved America and always referred to themselves as “Americans” never as “hyphenated” Americans.
The “melting pot” back then was the symbol of national pride and unity, something we just don’t have today.

i believe more important than whether or not America is a “melting pot”, what is missing such a general discussion is what are people supposed to “assimilate” to, when the Law of the Land has been twisted and/or ignored for around 2 centuries now? the founding principles were based upon Natural Rights, however, the corrupt STATE has violated and/or usurped these from the onset, until now hardly anyone among the masses even know what they are! and frankly, hardly anyone really desires to know these truths. we really are reaping what we have sewn, and it’s only going to get worse. it really sucks that the sheeple won’t and don’t want to listen.
