Indoctrination vs. Education in Government Schools

Tyranny thrives by indoctrinating generations of youngsters whose impressionable and immature minds cannot distinguish truth from fantasy.  Lacking worldly experience, the young pursue short term goals without considering the long-term consequences of rash decisions and imprudent choices.

A child’s basic moral and intellectual principles are formed during the first five to ten years of life.  When the nuclear family structure was the norm in American society, a child’s father, mother, and grandparents were the first significant source of education and knowledge.  That extended family unit provided the child with security, rules for living peacefully with others, and provided an example of moral and acceptable behavior in society.  A child raised to understand right and wrong with a basic set of educational tools is the nemesis of tyranny.  The destruction of the American family unit, a planned and necessary goal of international socialism, gave the government access to our preschool children for the purposes of indoctrination.

Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls were the primary tools that the Nazis used to shape the beliefs, thinking and actions of German youth.

A close friend of mine found an old family photo of a five or six year old girl, presumably his mother, in Hitlerjungen uniform, right arm raised, giving the Nazi salute.  He commented, “This is what happens when the government indoctrinates instead of educates!  My mother and grandmother got out just in time.”

The primary obligation of educators is to provide students with the tools necessary to become productive members of society.  That is the skeleton, the bony structure, that supports the body of education.  The ability to read, write, and understand English, a basic knowledge of science facts and the scientific method, and sufficient math skills to handle numbers and solve numerical problems have always been the indispensable foundation of the educational process.  Also essential to a well-rounded education is the study of the lessons of history and civics so students understand the origins and principles of governance, the rights of individuals, and the mechanisms under which the government is required to operate.

Even allowing for the personal prejudices of educators, adherence to that fundamental lesson plan guaranteed, for the most part, that the instruction provided in government schools would be accurate, truthful, and constructive to enable the successful achievement of a student’s life goals.  As long as curriculum content was controlled by local school boards whose members were community residents, the input of parents could not be easily disregarded.

That all changed with the centralization of public education that occurred gradually starting with Horace Mann and John Dewey who were proponents of collectivism and the educational requirements to achieve international socialist governance.  Enamored of the Soviet Union, Dewey favored eliminating the 3 Rs.  It is much easier to indoctrinate students who cannot read and write

The establishment of the Department of Education gave the federal government the assumed authority to institute collectivist propaganda into the school curriculum under the guise of necessary system reforms.  Dewey knew that radical change would be unacceptable, and devised means to introduced socialist ideology by indoctrinating teachers and unionizing them.

The Columbia University Teachers College set out to promote feminism, globalism, humanism, mass migration, multiculturalism, hedonism, environmentalism, socialism and all other leftist “isms” to undermine individual liberty and traditional culture, morality, and Christianity.

None of this could have been achieved without the financial support of America’s wealthy elite.  For the past century, these American traitors have spent billions of dollars supporting every group, every agenda, every fake crisis to destroy our Constitutional Republic.  They profit from the freedoms and benefits given us in our Constitution, but their goal is to destroy America for personal greed and a lust for power.  It’s all about control.  They want to rule the world.

If America is to survive, we must use our knowledge of history to become truth tellers and teachers to our children.  We can no longer sit in silent acceptance of their ignorance.  We must continue to fight for the soul of America.

About Robert Joseph Walters

Born in Alabama, Bob Walters was raised in Lakewood, California, and now lives in Orange County. He was always in politics starting with debating kids in high school on the school integration issue. Walker then created an opposition newspaper at UCLA called the Gargoyle to counter the content of the Daily Bruin. He wrote his first book in 1964 while still at UCLA, titled As the Pendulum Swings, which focused on the radical trend in the civil rights movement he felt was coming given his days at college. He helped put the American Independent Party on the ballot in Ca in 1966 and ran for state senator, coming in second.

This past year he wrote Education or Indoctrination which puts light on the people and groups that pushed indoctrination in our schools some 70 years ago and what can be done to stop this trend.

He has 12 grandchildren and fears for their future, so he has doubled his efforts to turn all this around.
