ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — WLOS ABC 13 is hosting a “Your Voice, Your Future” Town Hall on Wed., June 14, 2017, at the WNC Ag Center. The topic is “The Immigration Impact.”
According to the Associated Press, immigration arrests have increased 40% in the first part of 2017. Currently, it appears the legal battle over President Donald Trump’s so-called “travel ban” targeting six Muslim-majority countries will head to the Supreme Court. A judge has also temporarily halted the President’s executive order to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities–cities that refuse to turn over unauthorized immigrants or don’t cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
